monoPlane - Technology and Use Case
monoPlane is based on Microsoft.NET framework which has to be installed
prior to using (see the requirements section).
A typical workflow for creating a website with monoPlane Web Designer
might be similar to the described below:
- Install MWD on the development machine.
- Use MWD to create a new web project.
- Modify the default New Project template to form the structure of your website and create a Table of Contents (Tree Menu) by adding tree menu items (Table of Contents).
- Prepare your information as XML files, HTML pages or ASP.NET user controls.
- For XML data, use default XSL templates (provided) or create your own.
- Link your data files with templates into the Table of Contents (Tree Menu).
- Setup properties for each Menu Item and linked document.
- Setup Web Project properties.
- Configure panels, color schemes, link CSS files.
- Build and test the project on your local machine.
- When finished testing, copy the project to your target server
using a file manager or an FTP utility.
