EDI Integration

EDI is a set of standards and protocols for electronic document interchange. EDI has long history and wide adoption in manufacturing, retail, transportation and other industries. EDI trading parties enjoy the benefits of business process automation which often results in significant cost-savings from reduced transaction processing times and avoding data duplication. The increased volume of transactions helps business growth.

Starting with version 2006 R2, BizTalk server offers native support (no 3rd party components needed) for EDI X.12, EDIFACT, and HL7 formats which are popular EDI standards. When implemented in the enterprise environment, BizTalk server can be a cost-effective, robust and highly interoperable EDI platform.

Among BizTalk Server features that support rapid EDI solution development are:
